President Dr Arif Alvi, on Saturday, Pakistan exports cross $30 Billion target lauded the business community for hitting the $30 billion mark in exports this year despite the prevailing economic conditions.“It is encouraging that despite the challenges, Pakistan’s exports for the first time in history, touched $30 billion,” he said, adding that the government is committed to providing a competitive and fair business environment to entrepreneurs and had taken the necessary steps to achievethe purpose.

Speaking business leaders at the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), President Alvi urged the community to enhance the participation of women in the business sector and labour force as they could play an integral part in society.He stressed the need to take practical and time-bound steps to increase women’s inclusion in the productive workforce and to create a safe, conducive, and women-friendly environment at the workplace.
