An exploratory well in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, discovered new gas and condensate reserves that were found by the Ministry of Energy, Daily News Publisher Reported.
The discovery was made in collaboration with the private partners, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The well was drilled down to a depth of 3,527 meters, and as a result of the drilling, potential hydrocarbon bearing zones were identified, showing reserves of 39.12 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, 1,840 barrels of condensate per day, and 32.8 barrels of water per day.
The discovery will positively contribute to mitigating energy demand and supply gaps from indigenous resources, reduce reliance on imports of oil and gas, and add to the hydrocarbon reserves of the country. This is the 15th oil and gas discovery during the current calendar year.
